Probability trees enable us to easily visualize conditional probabilities as "branches" of a given event occurring.

Scenario: This past rush season, 75% of students who wore a hat during rush received a bid to Delta Apple Pi, whereas only 20% of students who didn't wear a hat received a bid. According to brothers, 40% of students wore a hat during rush. Construct a probability tree (Hat ➡️ Bid).

Out of all recruits, 40% of students wore a hat during rush... leaving 60% who didn't wear a hat!

75% of students who wore a hat during rush received a bid... leaving 25% of those who wore a hat not getting a bid!

20% of students who didn't wear a hat received a bid... leaving 80% of students who did wear a hat getting a bid!
